Tea Talk core
Cristal Ngo
Cristal Ngo received her Masters in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin (Superior). Cristal's path into counseling grew out of lived experience—years of volunteering, deep self-inquiry, and a personal commitment to healing. Long before formal training, she witnessed how pain, resilience, and transformation show up in real people's lives. That exposure shaped not only how she listens, but how she shows up for others. Today, she works as a professional counselor and is a doctoral student in counseling. Her approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in both science and compassion. She support clients navigating a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma-related sleep issues, relationship difficulties, separation/divorce, grief, neurodivergence, substance use, burnout, perfectionism, spiritual questions, and more. Many of the people she worked with carry invisible wounds—trauma held in the body, emotions locked away, or a quiet sense that something’s missing. Together, she works to assist individuals to recognise those patterns, release each trauma, reconnect to the self, and restore a sense of wholeness.Cristal Ngo is a professional counselor and a doctoral student in Counseling. She offers holistic, trauma-informed care for individuals, couples, and families, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Family Systems Therapy. Her work is also grounded in somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, including Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Psychedelic Harm Reduction & Integration.
Cristal specialises in helping clients navigate a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, burnout, sleep issues, relationship difficulties, trauma-related flashbacks and nightmares, perfectionism, substance use, and spiritual disconnection. She supports healing on multiple levels—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual—by addressing the nervous system and gently releasing trauma stored in the body.
Cristal brings over a decade of experience in meditation and somatic practices, offering an approach that is compassionate, present, and integrative. What matters most to her is creating a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore, feel, and heal—at their own pace, in their own way. Therapy doesn’t have to be just about talking. Sometimes it’s about breathing. Sometimes it’s about remembering your body is a home, not a battleground. And sometimes, it’s simply about having someone walk beside you as you find your way.
