Celebrating 50.
In 2020, Jacqueline and I celebrated our 50th birthdays.  We love riding our faithful Honda Dream into the nearby villages. Admiring the village landscapes, the fresh air, charming old houses. Occasionally, we came up to a dead end and we had to turn around. Other times, we drove into uncharted path, only to be surprised with a spectacular view. There are times, however, we were faced with ferocious dogs.  We just had to retreat with our eyes fixed on the dogs. Isn't that what life throw at us. Somedays, we were met with unexpected joy.  Most days,  we just have to go through the pressures of life, holding each other.  It funny how the Bible described it this way: "Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun--all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun." Ecclesiastes 9:9.
 
Yes, 9:9.  Forever and ever! 
P.s for those who understand my lame joke. The number 9 sounds like the word "a long time" in Chinese. When you repeat the same word twice in Chinese, like double happiness, 9:9 can also mean "forever".  How apt that God would have the same style of joke too.
